Enrolment options
This module represents the first half of the A1 (I) course. Upon completing it, you will be able to achieve the following:

Reading Skills
– Develop the ability to read within a limited range of material, using only 20 letters of the Armenian alphabet. -
Knowledge of Language Structure
– Gain an understanding of:
• the basic structure of Armenian sentences;
• how question marks, exclamation marks, and other punctuation signs are used in writing;
• the three-tier system of deixis (this/that/that over there) in Armenian, as opposed to the two-tier system in languages like Russian (this/that);
• the particular use of the Armenian definite article, in contrast to how articles are used in English, French, German, and similar languages. -
Communicative Skills
– Learn how to construct your own sentences and ask questions correctly, as well as understand your interlocutor — within a limited set of material on the theme “Me and My Family.”
